The Story
Dark Green Tea Kit Kat or also called Dark Matcha Kit Kat is a very popular Japanese snack sold only in Japan.
This is one of the two different versions of the matcha green tea Kit Kats. Dark Matcha Kit Kat is the bitter version and the bag has a darker shade of green. On the other hand, the standard Green Tea Kit Kat is formulated with a lighter matcha and is sweeter. It also comes packed in a bag with a lighter shade of green.
In both cases, the regular Kit Kat biscuit is covered with a layer of fine white chocolate blended with real matcha powder from the town of Uji in Kyoto prefecture. In the case of this version koi matcha is used thus the strongest and rich green tea taste.
