Somi Shantan is a Japanese style Chinese seasoning for enriching soups, fried rice (chahan) and other stir-fried foods.

Somi Shantan is made with more than 20 seasonings, spices and vegetables.

With nearly 60 years of history Somi Shantan has been a popular seasoning for cooking Chinese food at home.

Directions

For making soup, put 10g of Somi Shantan and 10g of soy sauce into 270ml of boiling water with other ingredients of your choice.

For fried rice, add 5g of Somi Shantan with 200g of rice.
